Friday 15 November 2019 at 7.30pm: The annual Hilda Parish Memorial Lecture: “A Lifetime Illustrating Birds”, with Mike Langman, internationally acclaimed wildlife painter and illustrator.

Friday 13 December 2019 at 7.30pm: “Whales at Risk…Is Underwater Noise a Threat to Marine Mammals?” with Professor John Harwood, Marine Biology Dept, St Andrews University.

Friday 17 January 2020 at 7.30pm: “Owl Sense”, with Dr Miriam Darlington, lecturer at Plymouth University, author and broadcaster.

Friday 14 February 2020 at 7.30pm: “Secret World of the Undergrowth”, with John Walters, naturalist, artist and writer.


FIELDTRIP Saturday 15 February 2020 at 9.15am (postponed from 2 November): Bowling Green Marsh RSPB Reserve at high tide, led by Dr Chris Lee, RSPB. Meet at the hide SX972874 at 9.15am.

Friday 13 March 2020 at 7.30pm: “Mexico – Birds Monarchs and Humpbacks”, with Dave Smallshire, author and lecturer, trustee of British Dragonfly Society.

Friday 3 April 2020 at 7.30pm: TBNS 50th BIRTHDAY and AGM, including reflections by past Chairman Richard Hargreaves. Followed by “Conservation – the Next 50 Years”, with Kelvin Boot, writer and broadcaster.
