FIELDTRIP Saturday 12 June 2020 at 9.00pm: Escorted Field Trip – Aylesbeare Common RSPB Reserve, for Nightjars. Meet Joney’s Cross car park SY058898 at 9.00pm. EVENT TO BE CONFIRMED.




Friday 11 September 2020 at 7.30pm: “The Exeter Peregrines”, with Nick Dixon, author, conservationist and bird of prey specialist. To be preceded by the Society's postponed 2020 AGM and 50th Birthday Celebration. EVENT TO BE CONFIRMED.



Friday 9 October 2020 at 7.30pm: “Otters – Coming to a River Near You”, with Stephen Powles, veterinary surgeon and naturalist & broadcaster.



Friday 13 November 2020 at 7.30pm: “The Wildlife of Botswana… Aardvarks and Elephants”, with Dr Paul Chanin, mammal ecologist, lecturer and conservationist.



FIELDTRIP Saturday 21 November 2020 at 10.00am: High tide spectacle at Steart Marshes, led by local guide Nigel Phillips. Meet at 10.00am in the car park, Stert Drove, Bridgwater TA5 2PU, ref ST252442.



Friday 11 December 2020 at 7.30pm: Hilda Parish Memorial Lecture “Saving  Britain’s Curlews” with Mary Colwell, conservationist, author & TV producer.



Friday 15 January 2021 at 7.30pm: “Alaska… The Wonderful Wilderness”, with Dave Scott, wildlife artist, photographer and bird ringer.



Friday 12 February 2021 at 7.30pm: “Sir Peter Scott and the Story of Slimbridge”, with Andrew Cooper, TV producer, broadcaster and author.



FIELDTRIP Saturday 13 February 2021: Birdwatching Cruise aboard “Sea Dream”, together with Topsham Museum volunteers. Leave Trout’s Boatyard early afternoon. Tickets available autumn 2020, approx. £18 to include tea.

Friday 12 March 2021 at 7.30pm: “Highlands and Islands Wildlife”, with Peter Exley, RSPB, ornithologist and conservationist.



Friday 9 April 2021 at 7.30pm: The Society’s AGM. Followed by “Cuckoos… Do Cheats Ever Prosper?” with Matt Collis, naturalist and ornithologist.



FIELDTRIP Saturday 8 May 2021 at 10.00am: Guided Field Trip to Ham Wall RSPB Reserve for bitterns, ducks and summer migrants. Meet at 10.00am at RSPB reserve car park BA6 9SX, ref ST449397.
